So proud to be a member of the Point Park University, School of Education Faculty – where collaboration, innovation, and personalization contribute to excellence. In the Fall of 2024, we responded to the needs identified by Career and Technical Directors across the Commonwealth to provide a new model for the delivery of certification coursework for Career and Technical Educators – our Career and Technical Teaching in Practice (CTTP) Program.

On January 5 we launched our first CTE Instructional I Cohort with 65 students and on May 4, due to student demand, will be offering a new CTE Instructional I Cohort.

On March 12, Point Park received PDE approval to offer CTE Instructional II Certification, which combined with Level I leads to an Associate’s Degree. Our first CTE Instructional II Cohort begins in August, 2025 and you can apply now – www.pointpark.edu/cttp — click APPLY.

What a pleasure it has been to work with these adult learners, who are already skilled in their “trades” but have the desire to give back, to improve the workforce and to develop the workers of tomorrow in the CTE classroom. Developed in partnership with the Career and Technical educators in the field, our program and delivery focuses on “adult learners” as they grow and develop to becoming outstanding, Career and Technical Educators. They learn by doing, they strive for excellence; they connect with faculty and with each other. The CTC Educators have become very special members of our Point Park educational family. We love our work together.
