Pathways to Career Readiness: An Education and Workforce Development Symposium will be held February 10 and 11, 2022 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center.  The thirty first annual symposium will begin at 12:30 p.m. on February 10, 2022 and will conclude at noon on February 11, 2022.

Symposium Description:Students entering the workforce of tomorrow will face challenges much different than workers of the past.  These challenges will impact new workers whether they enter the workforce directly from high school or after earning a two- or four-year degree.  Schools and workforce agencies must work to develop new pathways to help students.  Local, state and national leaders will present best practices to help students be career ready.

Sponsors:The Symposium is being sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association of Career and Technical Administrators and the National Center for College and Career Transition in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, the Pennsylvania Workforce Development Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Career and Technical Education, the Pennsylvania Association of Private School Administrators, and the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges

Symposium participants will be awarded up to eight hours of Act 48 credit.

Rachael Mann

Danny Rubin

Founder and President of Rubin

He guides the team to create innovative learning materials that help students write, speak and lead with confidence.

For 15 years, Danny has worked in the communications field and gained important techniques along the way he now shares with students.

The cost of registration for the symposium is $200 per person.  Checks should be made payable to PACTA.  The CTE Celebration Dinner on February 10, a continental breakfast on February 11, refreshment breaks and conference materials are included in the registration fee.  One-day registrations are available at a cost of $100.  The registration deadline is January 28, 2022.
