Job Description: Steel Center is an innovative Career and Technical School owned and operated by eleven southern Allegheny County school districts and located just south of Pittsburgh in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. We are a student-focused public school that delivers high quality Career & Technical Education to approximately 900 students, and are looking for a caring, highly motivated, and results oriented professional for the following position:
Welding Teacher, full-time permanent: ANTICIPATED OPENING for the 2024-2025 school year for a Welding and Metal Fabrication professional to instruct high school students. Steel Center is an innovative Career and Technical School just south of Pittsburgh. Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in Welding and Metal Fabrication field. Must have appropriate post-secondary education; current industry recognized credentials and/or certifications such as journeyman training and/or AWS preferred; Excellent communication, technology, and social skills are a must. Experience working with high school-aged youth in any setting is a plus. Range of starting annual salary $48,861 to $55,433 (potentially higher if already a PA certified teacher) plus excellent benefits package. The yearly salary
can grow to more than $105,000 upon reaching the top salary step. The hiring process includes state and federal required criminal background checks.
