Job Description: The Bucks County Technical High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor of Special Education to support and enhance the delivery of special education services. This leadership role involves supervising and guiding special education teachers, ensuring the development and implementation of effective instructional programs and support services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of special education programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations under IDEA.
• Assess the effectiveness of curriculum and instructional practices, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
• Support the professional growth and evaluation of special education staff.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment by building strong relationships with parents, staff, external agencies, and the community.
• Coordinate with the administrative staff to ensure alignment with school goals and policies.
• Coordinate and foster relationships with sending district LEA’s.
Qualifications:
• Education: Master’s Degree.
• Certification: Must hold a Pennsylvania Principal or Supervisor of Special Education Certificate.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a special education teacher or a related practice.
