Job Description: Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to fill the position of Sports Therapy & Exercise Management Teacher. The Sports Therapy & Exercise Management program provides students with a strong foundation in sports medicine, exercise science, and rehabilitation practices. Students gain hands-on experience in injury prevention, treatment, and management, as well as conditioning, wellness, and fitness principles, preparing them for postsecondary education or entry-level positions in the field.
• Term of Employment: Full-time (10 Months), permanent
• Compensation: Per MBEA Teachers’ Contract

Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality, competency-based instruction to prepare students with pre-professional experiences in sports therapy, exercise science, and related fields.
• Develop and deliver lessons incorporating safety, employability skills, academic integration, and industry standards.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom/lab environment, including implementation of essential laboratory safety rules.
• Engage students in hands-on learning experiences that reflect real-world scenarios in physical therapy, exercise science, and occupational therapy.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with industry partners to enhance student learning and potential cooperative education opportunities.
• Maintain accurate student records, assessment data, and grading in accordance with school policy.
• Provide supervision and guidance to students, fostering professionalism and leadership through Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) activities.
Required Qualifications:
• Pennsylvania teacher certification in the assigned teaching area OR eligibility to pursue certification.
• A current license/certification by the PA Department of State in one of the following: Athletic Trainer, Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Minimum of four (4) years, preferably seven (7) years, of occupational experience as an Athletic Trainer, Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with current instructional technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Teaching experience in a career and technical education setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience integrating industry-recognized certifications into instruction.
