THE POSITION
Do you like helping people improve their education system? Be part of a team that serves as change agents for n facilitates positive change by providing technical assistance, resources related to state developed career and technical education programs of study, state developed and implemented articulation agreements, adult accreditation and nurse aide training.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides statewide leadership and technical assistance to support the achievement of technical standards in career and technical education (CTE) as related to nurse aide training programs, programs of study, statewide postsecondary articulation and adult accreditation.

Utilize data from various commonwealth databases such as Career and Technical Education Information System (CATS) and Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS) to recommend professional development, technical assistance and design resources for entities that implement CTE.

Conducts compliance reviews, in-services, workshops and conference presentations related to CTE, nurse aide training, statewide postsecondary articulation and programs of study and accreditation.

Review and approve new nurse aide training programs and curriculum.

Provides technical assistance to the field regarding nurse aide training and postsecondary articulation.

The position also participates in the bureau's annual Integrated Learning Conference and Strategies conferences.

The position utilizes various databases such as CATS, PIMS and AcademyOne which support the development, maintenance and implementation of quality CTE.
• Full-time employment
• Work hours 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday with a 1 hour lunch period
• You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) 4 days a week. The day to report to the office is every Monday. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

 


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Qualifications:
• Minimum Experience and Training Requirements – Four years of professional career and technical education experience in the area of the parenthetical including one year of experience developing and implementing specialized career and technical education curricula or programs; OR an equivalent combination of professional career and technical education experience and training in the area of the parenthetical, which includes one year of professional experience developing and implementing specialized career and technical education curricula or programs
• This position also requires applicants to possess a minimum of two years of full-time professional career and technical education experience in a 9-12 or postsecondary environment.
• PA residency currently waived for this title
