Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology seeks a Special Projects and Accreditation Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. This position is responsible for managing a wide variety and diverse scope of projects on behalf of the College. Overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects and engagement activities, this candidate will serve as a liaison between administration, staff, and faculty. The position will have significant interaction with the various offices across campus, as well as internal and external constituency groups.
The Special Projects and Accreditation Coordinator will support the College’s mission and commitment to meeting the higher education needs of low income, historically under-represented students, resulting in immediate employment at a sustaining wage, supporting the growth and strength of business and industry across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Assist with special projects as assigned, such as: researching and writing proposals, developing, and implementing college engagement campaigns, and planning/organizing events.
• Provide support for all accreditation activities.
• Handles administrative responsibilities, including scheduling and coordinating meetings and events, updating, and maintaining handbooks, manuals, policy changes, and other important documents.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders, including campus leaders, community partners, and others to ensure that assigned projects and engagement activities are successful.
• Manage cross-functional projects and ensure that all assigned deliverables are completed with the highest quality and on time.
• Serve on accreditation committees and task forces.
• Assist with the tracking and monitoring of the institution’s compliance with Middles States accreditation.
• Maintain documents and policies associated with the Middle States process, including self-study reports, site visit reports, and accreditation correspondence.
• Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, including project budgets.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accreditation policies and procedures.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree
• Two to three years of progressively responsible administrative and project management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a college setting and/or knowledge of Thaddeus Stevens College is preferred.
• Experience working with educational program administrators and instructors.
• Strong understanding of Middle States accreditation standards.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• Excellent project management and reporting experience; strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under ever-evolving priorities; manages competing interests and strong personalities.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• Broad understanding of public higher education policies and systems.
• Knowledge, professional stature, and demonstrated ability to work effectively with college administrators and faculty, and leaders in the non-profit and private sectors.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding, and complex work environment, with the ability to carry out complex assignments and adapt to changing situations and priorities.
• Strong interpersonal communication, writing, presentation, negotiation, and group facilitation skills.
• Outstanding writing and editing skills with a record of written work that demonstrates clarity and precision.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
• Strong relationship and fiscal management skills with ability to address issues that may arise successfully.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as a computer, phone, and copier.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing and movement is required. This would require the ability to lift files and file boxes, open filing cabinets, walking, and bending or standing as necessary.
