Job Description: -Provide support/transitional services to student with special education needs who are enrolled
in career and technical education.
-Monitor performance and provide intervention strategies as required.
-Participate in the development of IEPs and the placement of students applying for career and
technical education programs.
-Provide staff development to teachers related to curriculum modification, adaptations, and
instructional strategies.
-Coordinate internal and external support services.
-Provide comprehensive support services for assigned special needs students ensuring student
success and compliance with Perkins, IDEIA, ADA, and other relevant laws and regulations.
-Participate in IEP, transition and other related meetings as needed; ensure appropriate
placement and adequate support services for student success.
-Provide input for the Re-evaluation Report (RR) and IEP for students considering enrollment and
currently enrolled in an approved Career and Technical Education program.
-Ensure that IEPs are received for all students and kept current. Review with each student’s
teacher.
