Job Description: Possess current valid Pennsylvania Special Education 7-12 certification, work with students and teachers to promote completion of tasks and competencies in the technical programs, actively participate in IEP and 504 meetings, monitor SDI compliance, and suggest instructional strategies to support students. Meets with students on caseload routinely to provide support and assistance. Consults program instructors, district partners, and parents to support the success of our students. Provides in-class support on a regularly scheduled basis. Experience providing emotional and/or mental health support at the secondary level is a plus. Capable of fulfilling all job responsibilities as indicated in the UBCTS Special Education Specialist Job Description.
