Qualifications: Must possess a PDE certificate in Family and Consumer Sciences/Human Services, CIP Code: 19.9999 or have the qualifications to obtain the required certificate. A degree in special education preferred. Experience working with high school students with disabilities preferred. Good communication, organization and interpersonal skills required.
Position goal: This position will focus on developing students in a diverse array of skill sets in service-related employment areas such as retail, custodial, housekeeping, culinary arts, and building and grounds maintenance.
Work schedule: The normal workday is Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 3:15 pm, 7 ¾ hours. The day includes a 30-minute duty free lunch. 10-months (190 days/year). This includes six (6) evening functions per school year equaling three (3) contractual workdays). Two days per month, there will be up to an additional fifteen (15) minutes added to the workday for faculty meetings.
