Job Description: POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 4 years paid experience within Law Enforcement, PDE (Career and Technical Level I) Instructional Certification (Law Enforcement 2048 Occupations) CIP 43.0107 preferred. Experience in all or a combination of criminal law and procedures, police and corrections concepts and skills, court systems, and security required. The ability to integrate current industry trends across the curriculum path. Willingness to pursue professional development activities to enhance the program as well as self.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide quality occupational instruction to secondary career and technical students to prepare them for a successful career path in the field of Law Enforcement. Duties include program development and modifying curriculum to remain current and effective instruction and supervision of all students. Build professional relationships with local business and industry partners to establish potential work sites for students. Maintain appropriate professional certificates and licenses as required. Willingness to pursue teaching certification and professional development activities to enhance the program as well as self. Possess excellent communication skills. Capable of fulfilling all job responsibilities as indicated in the UBCTS Instructor Job Description.
