Job Description: SCHOOL TO CAREER COORDINATOR [Full-time contract 2026-2027 SY] Bucks County Technical High School is seeking a motivated School-to-Career Coordinator to lead the development and coordination of work-based learning experiences. This role connects students with real-world opportunities, builds employer partnerships and supports career readiness for a diverse student population preparing for technical careers.
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing work-based learning opportunities for BCTHS students. The coordinator is a liaison between the school, students, employers and the community to ensure meaningful, safe and educational workplace experiences within state and federal laws.
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work-Based Learning Coordination.
• Develop, manage and coordinate school-to-career programs and work-based learning opportunities
• Recruit businesses for involvement in school-to-career programs
• Monitor student academic and on-the-job progress
• Participate in Local Advisory Committee [General Advisory] meetings
Connections for School and Community Partnerships.
• Attend local and state career and technical education meetings
• Analyze employment trends and provide staff with data
• Plan and coordinate career and technical opportunities with outside agencies
• Coordinate school business partnership activities
• Participate in cooperative education organizations [PCEA and ACTE]
Assist with public relations and student recruiting.
Other related BCTHS duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• PA Cooperative Education Certification or the ability to obtain.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain partnerships with businesses and local agencies.
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to student success and workforce development.
