Full-time Position
START: 2024-2025 School Year
LOCATION: Lehigh Career & Technical Institute, 4500 Education Park Drive, Schnecksville, PA 18078
CURRICULUM: Responsible for offering a Pre-Engineering and Engineering Technology Program within the LCTI curriculum model.
CONTRACT: Salary, benefits, and conditions per current negotiated agreement between the LCTI Joint Operating Committee and the LCTI Education Association.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Willing to pursue teaching certification and professional development activities to enhance both the program and yourself
B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural and/or Civil Engineering with willingness to pursue Vocational Certification (or) Vocational Certification in Engineering Related Technology (or) Instructional Certification in Technology Education
Minimum four (4) years recent work experience in Mechanical, Civil, Architectural Drafting ans Engineering, automation and engineering design/3D modeling (CADD/Revit)
Innovative and creative aptitude as demonstrated through work, personal and/or hands on activities
Willing and able to successfully complete an Occupation Competency Assessment (OCA) Exam in Engineering Related Technology (2104) by 6/30/ 2025, if not currently certified
Willing to pursue and maintain industry recognized credentials and/or certification
Willing to participate in technical seminars, workshops and classes related to the program/occupation
Excellent communication skills
Capable of fulfilling all job responsibilities as indicated on the LCTI Career & Technical Teacher Job Description
Prior experience (personal or professional) working with high school aged youth a plus
