Job Description: A vacancy for a grant funded Pre-Apprenticeship Job Coach position exists within the Division of Career, Technical and Customized Education of the Chester County Intermediate Unit at the Technical College High School Campuses in Chester County (centrally located in Downingtown).
SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position works collaboratively with the Career Readiness Coordinator to provide on-the-job training and job coaching/training designed for students enrolled in registered pre-apprenticeship programs in Chester County. Ensure safety of all students in transit to and at work sites. Task analysis of jobs, and make accommodations as necessary. Demonstrate proper job skills required at work sites and monitor daily performance. Administer assessments, evaluate student performance at work site, and report student progress data.
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS: Ability to write reports, business correspondence, present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply sound judgment to resolve conflicts and solve problems.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, required. Licensed/Certified in skilled trades areas, required. Experience in industry, required. Certification/experience in Construction, HVAC, Electrical, preferred. Current (within one year) police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required. Experience with secondary age student preferred.
SALARY: SUPPORT STAFF, BAND 11 ($21.68 – $27.10)
This position is contingent upon sufficient enrollment and pending no change in grant funding.
CCIU is not responsible for the salary if the grant is not funded.
SCHEDULE: Flexible schedule with student need
