Job Description: North Montco Technical Career Center is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Teacher.
Are you interested in a career change? Have you ever thought of becoming a teacher? North Montco Technical Career Center has a vacancy for a physical and rehabilitation therapy professional to teach students in grades 9-12.
Required Qualifications:
– Associate’s Degree in related field of study
– Possess a current and valid license/certification from the PA Department of State in one or more of the following; Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant
– Minimum of four years (8000 hours) comprehensive wage-earning experience directly related to the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation
– Willingness and ability to complete all necessary steps toward obtaining permanent teacher’s certification through the PA Department of Education
– A desire to work with and motivate high school students
– Management and oversight of classroom materials, equipment, and facility
– Knowledge of computers and software applications
– Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
– Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study
Pre-employment Paperwork Requirements:
o PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
o Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
o FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
o School Employee Health Form (Physical and TB test)
o Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s) (Act 168)
