Job Description: Paraeducator
The Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center (HCCTC) is seeking a caring, motivated, and student-focused Paraeducator to support students and instructors in our Career and Technical Education programs.
Position Summary
The Paraeducator works closely with instructors to provide instructional support, reinforce learning, and assist students in achieving success in both classroom and hands-on vocational settings. This position plays an important role in creating a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications
High school diploma required.
Required clearances in accordance with HCCTC policy.
Strong communication, teamwork, and student-support skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assist instructors with daily classroom and shop operations.
Provide individual and small-group instructional support to students.
Reinforce academic concepts, vocational skills, and safety procedures.
Assist with student assessments, accommodations, and program modifications.
Monitor student progress and support student achievement.
Help supervise students and maintain a safe, organized learning environment.
Collaborate with instructors to enhance educational programs and student success.
Position Details
185-day contracted position.
Work schedule, salary, and benefits in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Limited telework opportunities available with approval.

Starting Rate: $15.55/hr
