Job Description: Full-Time, permanent position available at the Northern Tier Career Center for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates should have knowledge of effective educational practices, employability skills, and career development. Ability to attain Vocational Certification required. Willingness to pursue teaching certification and professional development activities to enhance the program.
Requirements:
A. Shall be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing AND currently licensed as an RN in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
OR
B. Any license/certified healthcare professional who has a minimum of a bachelor’s degree AND is currently licensed/certified in their field of practice.
OR
C. Currently licensed Practical Nurse AND must be able to pass the Health Assisting Occupational Competency Assessment along with 4 years of wage-earning experience in the occupation.
Primary Responsibilities: To provide students with the knowledge and skills that are the foundation for a variety of allied health careers. Students will learn anatomy, medical terminology, legal and ethical issues in health care, communication skills, and human development. Students learn to perform basic clinical skills, personal care skills, and allied health skills used in a variety of health care settings.
