Columbia-Montour AVTS is seeking applicants for the following positions:
Agriculture Instructor
Permanent full-time Agriculture Instructor for the Agricultural Plant Systems & Technology Training Program. (Applied Horticulture/Horticultural Operations)
Candidate must possess the following: A bachelor’s degree in agricultural education or possess equivalent skills and education in the green industry required to complete a PA Vocational Instructor I certificate; significant experience in the green industry; possess or be willing to obtain a PA Pesticide License; competency in the agricultural mechanics and equipment operation; significant FFA experience; demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Applicants must be skilled in teaching or have industry experience in the following: commercial greenhouse management, botany, aquaponics, soil science, landscape architecture, and pesticide safety. In addition, applicants must be competent in agricultural mechanics including but not limited to residential plumbing, small gas engines, residential electricity, and concrete masonry. Applicant must also be willing to be an FFA advisor and therefore encourage student involvement and foster relationships with local agricultural agencies.
Health Professional and Related Clinical Sciences Teacher
Anticipated Full-time Health Professional and Related Clinical Sciences Teacher beginning the 2022-2023 school year. The candidate must possess a valid Pennsylvania RN License and have at least two years paid work experience as a Registered Nurse. Prior teaching is helpful, but not necessary. Must be willing to complete necessary coursework to earn vocational teaching certification, or currently possess a Teaching Certificate. (Standard Teaching Application Required)
M1 Maintenance-HVAC/Electrician
Will perform maintenance work including but not limited to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring, vehicle and equipment maintenance. Experience with three phase power, electronic HVAC controls, refrigeration and cooling systems, equipment installation and set-up is required. Pay is $17.75/hr. with full benefits.

Part-time Maintenance/General Custodian
Candidate will be responsible for care and cleaning of building and grounds. Valid PA Driver’s License is required.

Full-Time Paraprofessional
Associate’s degree is required. Position starts at $11.75/hr. with full benefits.
