Special Education Teacher, full-time permanent: Steel Center, a student focused public school that delivers high quality Career & Technical Education has an opening for a highly motivated, results oriented, team-oriented, Special Education Teacher to provide support and learning facilitation with students enrolled in one of our eighteen Career and Technical Education programs of study. This dynamic position includes serving as a liaison with Special Educators from our ten-consortium member high schools. Requires PA Secondary Special Education certification, all highly qualified areas are welcome to apply.
Substitute Special Education Teacher, day to day: Requires PA Secondary Special Education certification, all highly qualified areas are welcome to apply. May lead to full-time permanent position.
Computer Technology Teacher, Long-Term Substitute: Seeking a Computer Technology Professional as a long-term substitute teacher to instruct high school students. Steel Center is an innovative Career and Technical School just south of Pittsburgh. Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Administration, Information Technology Services, PC/Server Virtualization, Cloud Technologies and/or Programming. Prefer appropriate post-secondary education; industry recognized credentials and/or certifications such as CISCO, Comp-TIA, and Microsoft; Excellent communication, technology, and social skills are a must. Experience working with high school-aged youth in any setting is a plus. Starting salary $150/day, after 45 days the salary is $251/day plus dingle coverage healthcare benefits. This position is for the 2022-2023 school year.
Instructional Aide, three full-time permanent positions: Seeking enthusiastic and caring Para Education Professional to support teachers in a Career and Technical Education setting. Steel Center is an innovative Career and Technical School just south of Pittsburgh. Requires high school diploma, additional education preferred, experience in all fields encouraged to apply, experience in veterinary/animal care, medical, automotive/diesel repair, or construction trade fields preferred. Experience in a public school setting is a plus but not required. Excellent communication, technology, and social skills are a must. Inspiring teachers are encouraged to apply. The starting salary is $15.81 per hour plus benefits. Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-3:00 PM; These positions are for the 2022-2023 school year.
