Job Description: IT-WEB DESIGN TEACHER (CIP 11.0801)
RMCTC has a vacancy to teach high school students in our Web Design program for the 2024-2025 School Year.
Full-time (187 Days); Family Benefits; State Pension (PSERS)
Minimum Qualifications:
Pennsylvania Instructional Teaching Certificate in Business, Computer & Information Technology 1603 or Digital Web Design 2586 or
Minimum of 4 years’ trade experience in all phases of Web Design including:
Documented experience with HTML, CSS, XML, Javascript, graphics applications, and other authoring tools
Ability to edit, publish, and design, documents, images, graphics, sound, and multimedia products on the World Wide Web
Instruction in Internet theory, web page standards and policies, elements of web page design, user interfaces, vector tools, special effects, interactive and multimedia components, search engines, navigation, morphing, e-commerce tools, and emerging web technologies
Willingness and ability to complete all necessary steps toward obtaining permanent teacher’s certification through the PA Department of Education
A desire to work with and motivate high school students
Knowledge of computers and software applications
Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills
Eligible to obtain PDE-related Act 34, Act 151 and FBI clearances.
Must pass a physical and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to communicate in English and Spanish
