Have you ever thought about teaching the trade you love to future generations? RMCTC has an immediate vacancy to teach high school students in our Horticulture program.
REQUIREMENTS
• Pennsylvania Instructional Teaching Certificate in Agriculture 1200 or Horticulture 2012 or
• Minimum of 4 years’ trade experience in all phases of applied horticulture operations including:
o Production and processing of domesticated plants, shrubs, flowers, foliage, trees, groundcovers, and related plant materials
o The management of technical and business operations connected with horticulture services
o The basic scientific principles needed to understand plants and their management and care
• High School Diploma required.
• Good human relations and written/verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to relate well with young people in a supportive role.
• Working knowledge of computer applications.
• Eligible to obtain PDE-related Act 34, Act 151 and FBI clearances.
• Must pass a physical and drug test.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
• Prior teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish
• Supervisory experience
