Job Description: Homeland Security & Protective Services Instructor
The Keystone Central Career and Technology Center is seeking a highly qualified professional to teach The Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting, and Related Protective Services program at the Technology Center. This is a full-time teaching position. Experience working with high school students and teaching in a Career and Technology Center environment is preferred. A minimum of four (4) years documented wage earning experience as a Police Officer OR EMT OR FireFighter OR Related Military Experience in the past ten years is a requirement per Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) regulations for employment & certification. Candidate with suppression training is preferred or will secure suppression certification within six months of hiring. The successful candidate must be willing to earn a Vocational II teaching certificate and pass an Occupational Competency Assessment (OCA) as required by PDE.
