Health Sports Medicine Teacher (CIP 51.2604)

Required Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree in related field of study
• Possess a current and valid license/certification from the PA Department of State in one or more of the following:
o Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Minimum of four years of recent and documentable experience working in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation
• Willingness and ability to complete all necessary steps toward obtaining permanent teacher’s certification through the PA Department of Education
• A desire to work with and motivate high school students
• A desire to develop relationships and partnerships with business and industry
• Management and oversight of classroom materials, equipment, and facility
• Knowledge of computers and software applications
• Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study
• Ability to communicate in English and Spanish
