Job Description: A successful candidate for this position must:
– Possess a valid/active Career and Technical Instructional Certificate (2600) for Health Assistant (2202).
OR
– Be eligible and willing to obtain a Career and Technical Instructional Certificate (2600) for Health Assistant (2202).
Eligibility requirements for entering the Health & Medical Assisting instructor certification program at an approved teacher education institution:
• Must have four (4) years of wage-earning experience in the occupation.
• Must pass Occupational Competency Evaluation Credential Review.
• Must be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing AND currently licensed as an RN in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
OR
• Any license/certified healthcare professional who has a minimum of a bachelor’s degree AND is currently licensed/certified in their field of practice.
OR
• Currently Licensed Practical Nurse AND has passed the Health Assisting Occupational Competency Assessment (2202).
