Job Type: This is a 10-month position
Job Description: Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center (WMCTC) is seeking a knowledgeable and student-centered Health/Medical Assisting Instructor to develop and lead a new program preparing students for careers in the healthcare field. This position offers a unique opportunity to build a program that equips students with foundational clinical and employability skills for in-demand healthcare careers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of occupational experience in the healthcare field (e.g., patient care, clinical support, or related area)
Strong knowledge of:
Medical terminology
Infection control and safety practices
Vital signs and basic clinical procedures
Patient care techniques
Healthcare ethics and confidentiality (HIPAA)
Electronic health records (EHR) and basic healthcare documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
Credential/licensure in a healthcare field (e.g., LPN, RN, BSN, or similar)
Experience in a clinical or outpatient setting
Prior teaching, training, or youth engagement experience
Additional Requirements:
Must hold or be willing to obtain Pennsylvania teaching certification
Demonstrated computer proficiency
Pre-Employment Requirements:
PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114)
School Employee Health Form (Physical & TB Test)
Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release Form(s)
