Job Title: Health Assistant Instructor

Job Description: The HEA instructor is responsible for developing and implementing an instructional program focusing on preparing students for entry-level employment in the health occupations and will support the Pennsylvania Occupational Standards (POS) for CIP Code 51.0899. Instruction consists of core course content with clinical experiences in health-related occupations. Instruction includes but is not limited to basic anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, legal and ethical aspects of health care and communication.
Candidates who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
Must have a minimum of 4 years of wage-earning industry experience
-AND one of the following three –
1. Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing AND currently licensed as an RN in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
-OR-
2. Any license/certified healthcare professional who has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree AND is currently licensed/certified in their field of practice.
-OR-
3. Currently Licensed Practical Nurse AND has passed the Health Assisting Occupational Competency Assessment.
