RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Administer a career and technical education as well as oversee practical nursing, adult education.
• Maintain close working relationships with community and state agencies, local secondary and post-secondary education institutions, and area businesses, industries, and labor organizations.
• Continuously appraise and evaluate the career and technical programs to achieve the established goals of providing the opportunity for people to prepare for gainful employment and post-secondary education.
• Possess current knowledge of pertinent rules and regulations affecting career and technical education.
• Effectively recommend long-term adjustments, changes, additions, and deletions in career and technical education programs to meet changing job trends and needs.
• Annually develop a fiscally sound and effective budget designed to fulfill the mission and philosophy of the school.
CERTIFICATION/EDUCATION:
1. Director of Vocational Education Certification for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
2. Master’s degree required, Doctorate preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum 3-5 years of successful administrative experience in Career and Technical education
2. Industrial or business experience and an understanding of the business/industrial community
3. Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, organization, and supervisory skills
4. Acts 34, 151 clearances and Act 114 registration ID number required.
