Qualifications:
• Possess the following PDE certificate: Electromechanical/Electromechanical Engineering Technology/Technician, CIP code: 15.0403 (Occupational Competency Area: Electro-Mechanical Technology 2109) OR have the following qualifications to obtain the required certificate:
– Four-plus years of recent full-time wage-earning work experience beyond the training period in the area of automated systems and mechatronics, electrical/mechanical, or fluid power. Must complete PDE required course work and certification process, if not already certified.
• Current child abuse, criminal history, and FBI Fingerprint clearance required upon hire

Program Overview:
This position will prepare secondary career and technical students with a robust foundation who are considering engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or automation as a career. Must be familiar with pneumatics, hydraulics, basic mechanical power, electrical motors and controls, digital circuit, semiconductors, programmable logic controls, and robotics.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Major Areas of Responsibility:
1. Program development
2. Maintain and practice an effective safety program within the curriculum.
3. Consistent and effective program recruitment.
4. Effective supervision of all students at the TCHS.
5. Maintaining and modifying curriculum to remain current and up to date.
6. Contributing to a productive Occupational Advisory Committee.
7. Maintenance of appropriate professional certificate(s) and licenses if appropriate.
8. Maintenance of appropriate industrial certifications on a regular basis.
9. Other assignments as requested by the supervisor.

Other Responsibilities:
• Comply with all CCIU policies and directives.
• Participate in CCIU related projects, activities and committees as requested.

Specific Duties:
• Know the skill and knowledge level of each student, including those with special needs.
• Develop and use instructional materials and resources that support the instructional goals of the program.
• Assess student performance on a regular basis.
• Select instructional goals for the program.
• Identify occupational outcomes for the program.
• Manage the classroom environment.
• Ensure assigned students are supervised at all times.
• Manage student behavior.
• Communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing.
• Carry out professional responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate student records.

• Communicate with students regarding academic and behavioral issues.
• Recommend instructional texts, supplies and equipment for purchase as well as specifications for the same.
• Maintain appropriate levels of professional teaching and occupation certification.
• Maintain a safe and clean instructional environment at all times.
• Carry out all student supervision and duty responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Submit progress report and report card grades as directed.
• Participate in the student recruitment process and orient new students to your program.
• Take the necessary actions to achieve or maintain program alignment with a recognized local or national standards
• Identify, include and assess academic standards appropriate for the program.
• Support CCIU Mission, Beliefs Strategic Plan, Goals and Objectives.

Salary (2022-2023 School Year):
• $51,977 – $83,394 – Emergency Certification (Industry experience, but no Instructional certification)
• $53,640 – $85,674 – Instructional I/ Vocational I Certification
• $55,980 – $89,105 – Instructional II/Vocational II Certification
• $57,582 – $93,203 – Vocational II + 15
• $59,552 – $97,305 – Master’s Degree
• $62,138 – $101,136 – Master’s + 15
• $63,492 – $102,970 – Masters + 30
