Job Description: Job Description: The Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology is seeking a professional and dynamic Early Childhood Education Teacher. This position instructs high school students in the knowledge and skills needed for occupations in child care and early education. This position will also lead the Teaching Academy which is designed to prepare students interested in pursuing teaching careers. This is a senior only program available to both Academy and Mifflin County High School and Juniata School District students.
Pennsylvania CTE certification in Child Care Services or Instructional certification in Family and Consumer Science is strongly preferred. Knowledge of the CDA (Child Development Associate) is preferred.
• Four-plus years of recent full-time wage-earning work experience in early childhood education. • Must complete the PDE required course work and certification process, if not already certified. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage and motivate high school students.
