Job Description: Berks Career & Technology Center (BCTC) is seeking a motivated Diesel Technology Instructor who is passionate about preparing the next generation of diesel technicians. The successful candidate will foster a positive, hands-on learning environment while mentoring and guiding students toward graduation, career readiness, and industry success.

Qualifications:
• Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in Medium/Heavy Vehicle and Truck Technology/Technician (CIP 47.0613 – Diesel Mechanic 2025), or eligibility to obtain certification
• Minimum four years of full-time, wage-earning diesel technology experience beyond the training period
• Experience servicing and repairing medium- to heavy-duty trucks
• Strong technical, communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Ability to deliver engaging, lab-based instruction and maintain a safe, industry-standard learning environment
Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:15 p.m. (7¾ hours/day), 10-months (190 days). Includes six evening functions annually and two extended faculty meetings per month.
