Job Description: Career & Technical Education Instructor
The Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center (HCCTC) is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Career & Technical Education Instructor to prepare students for successful careers in today’s workforce.
Position Summary
The instructor will provide classroom, laboratory, and hands-on technical training to high school students while developing curriculum, evaluating student progress, and fostering a safe and engaging learning environment. The successful candidate will bring current industry experience and a passion for helping students develop career-ready skills.
Qualifications
Minimum of four years of verifiable experience in a related career and technical field.
Required clearances in accordance with HCCTC policy.
Willingness to work toward Pennsylvania vocational instructional certification requirements.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging instruction through classroom, laboratory, and hands-on learning experiences.
Develop curriculum, lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials.
Monitor student progress and communicate with parents, counselors, and school personnel.
Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom/shop environment.
Participate in professional development, advisory committee meetings, and school activities.
Build relationships with industry partners and support career readiness opportunities for students.
Supervise students in cooperative education and work-based learning experiences as applicable.
Position Details
185-day contracted position.
Work schedule and compensation according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Limited telework opportunities available with approval.
Salary and benefits provided in accordance with the CBA.
