Cosmetology Teacher (CIP 12.0401)

Full-time (187 Days); Family Medical Benefits; Retirement

Qualifications:

· Must have four (4) years of wage-earning work experience in Cosmetology and hold a valid PA State Board of Cosmetology Teaching License.

· PA Department of Education Teaching Vocational I or II Certificate or qualify to enroll in a certification program. Prior teaching experience is not required.

· Eligible to obtain PDE-related Act 34, Act 151 and FBI clearances.

· Must pass a physical and drug test.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Provide quality occupational instruction to high school students in Cosmetology skill competencies.

· Ability to relate well with high-school aged students.

· Maintain accurate records related to student achievement, attendance and other systems of measuring student performance using computer technology.

· Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress, conduct, attendance and other matters of performance related skills.

· Other assignments requested by the Director or designee.
