Job Description: Bucks County Technical High School is seeking a highly organized, self-motivated, passionate professional with strong communication skills to fill the position of Computer Systems and Cyber Security Instructor at BCTHS [CIP Code 15.1202].
JOB SUMMARY: Teach a program that prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of professionals who use computer systems. Includes instruction in basic computer design and architecture, programming, problems of specific computer applications, component and system maintenance and inspection procedures, hardware and software problem diagnosis and repair, report preparation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Prepare lessons that support student learning and skill development
• Conduct all classroom activities as validated by the Occupational Advisory Committee
• Build professional relationships with local business and industry partners to establish potential work sites for students
• Maintain appropriate professional certificates and licenses as required
• Monitor student progress and participate in school initiatives, professional development, and SkillsUSA activities
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid PDE teaching certificate in Network Systems Technology [2102] or a Bachelor’s degree with two years of related experience or at least four [4] years of documented wage-earning experience in the field.
• Necessary credentials to teach industry-recognized certifications
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Classroom, Forms, Docs, and Sheets) and student information systems
• Ability to work in partnership with staff
• Willing to complete education requirements for PDE Career & Technical Certifications I and II
Terms: Full-time contract starting 2026-2027 School Year, member of BCTHSEA
