Job Description: Computer & Networking Technology Teacher – School Year/9 Month
As the Computer & Networking Technology teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive instruction in the field of computer science, including computer hardware & software, networking, and cybersecurity. This position requires an individual who is experienced in teaching and has the technical knowledge and expertise to prepare students for careers in computer technology and related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver a curriculum in computer science, including lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments, to students at varying skill levels.
Provide hands-on instruction in computer hardware and software, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Teach students networking concepts, including network design, administration, security, and protocols.
Instruct students in the fundamentals of cybersecurity, including threat assessment, risk management, and incident response.
Plan and implement engaging instructional activities that encourage student participation and critical thinking.
Assess student performance and provide timely feedback on assignments, projects, and assessments.
Stay current with industry trends and technologies in computer science, networking, and cybersecurity.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity, innovation, and collaboration among students.
Qualifications:
Pennsylvania teacher certification a plus
College courses leading to certification will be required
Minimum of four years verifiable industry experience required
