Job Title: Commercial & Graphic Arts Instructor

Organization/School: Chester County Intermediate Unit/ TCHS Brandywine

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description: At the present time, a vacancy exists for a Commercial & Graphic Arts Instructor at the CCIU’s TCHS Brandywine campus in Downingtown, PA.

This role will provide quality occupational instruction to secondary career and technical school students to prepare them for entry-level employment in their occupational specialization. Also possess the ability to integrate math, science, and language arts into daily instruction.

Qualifications:
Appropriate PA Department of Education (PDE) Vocational certification OR the ability to enroll in a PDE approved certification program, and appropriate commerical and/or graphic arts related certifications or have successfully completed the appropriate Occupational Competency Assessment.  In addition to the minimum PDE certification requirements; candidates should possess relevant industry certifications.  Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of commerical and graphic arts is required.
Proficient in the use of MAC platform and ADOBE Suite Software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign).
Ability to use computers for grade entry, e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet applications or other applications necessary to fulfill the requirements of the position.
Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Classroom and field instruction.
Classroom safety.
Maintenance of Appropriate Professional Certificate(s) and Licenses
Know the skill and knowledge level for each student
Communicate with parents, guardians or caregivers regarding academic and behavioral issues.
Facilitate Occupational Craft Advisory Committee meetings and maintain an Occupational Craft Advisory Committee with at least six active members.
Participate on AFG or CAT Strategic Planning Committees as requested.
Support IU and Division Strategic Plans, Goals, and Objectives.

Salary Range (2024-2025 school year):

$54,609 to $85,070 – Emergency/Intern Certification (coming in with industry experience)
$56,355 to $87,396 – Vocational I Teaching Certification
$58,814 to $90,897 – Vocational II Teaching Certification
$60,497 to $95,076 – Vocational II Teaching Cert + 15 credits
$62,567 to $99,261 – Master’s
$65,284 to $103,169 – Master’s + 15
$66,706 to $105,039 – Master’s + 30

Schedule: 10 month, school year (194 days), 7.5 hours per day Monday through Friday

Location: TCHS Brandywine  – 443 Boot Road, Downingtown PA
