Qualifications:
Appropriate PA Department of Education Vocational certification or the ability to enroll in an approved certification program with appropriate auto service-related certifications or have successfully completed the appropriate Occupational Competency Assessment. In addition to the minimum certification requirements, candidates should possess relevant industry certifications.
In addition to the minimum PDE certification requirements; candidates should possess relevant industry certifications. Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of carpentry is required.
Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide quality occupational instruction to secondary career and technical students.
Duties Include:
Program development
Maintain and practice an effective safety program with the curriculum
Consistent and effective program recruitment
Effective supervision of all students at TCHS-Brandywine
Maintain and modify curriculum to remain current
Develop and maintain a productive Occupational Advisory Committee
Maintain appropriate professional certificate(s) and licenses as required
Maintenance of appropriate industrial certifications on a regular basis
Develop and maintain a positive production account
Other assignments requested by the principal or designee
Salary Range: (2024-2025 salary schedule):
$54,609 to $85,070 – Emergency/Intern Certification (coming in with industry experience)
$56,355 to $87,396 – Vocational I Teaching Certification
$58,814 to $90,897 – Vocational II Teaching Certification
$62,567 to $99,261 – Master’s Degree
$65,284 to $103,169 – Master’s +15
$66,706 to $105,039 – Master’s + 30
Schedule:
Monday through Friday; 7.5 hrs per day; 10 months; 194 days
