Job Description: Mon Valley Career & Technology Center is accepting internal applications for the position of Career Connections Teacher.
This position plays a vital role in preparing students for successful careers by providing instruction in career readiness, workplace professionalism, employability skills, financial literacy, and career-related mathematics while coordinating cooperative education and work-based learning experiences.
Primary Responsibilities
• Provide classroom instruction in career readiness, employability skills, workplace professionalism, financial literacy, and career-related mathematics.
• Guide students in career exploration, career research, resume writing, interviewing, and career planning.
• Coordinate and supervise cooperative education and work-based learning experiences.
• Build partnerships with employers, workforce agencies, apprenticeship programs, and postsecondary institutions.
• Collaborate with Career and Technical Education instructors to prepare students for successful transition into employment, apprenticeships, military service, and postsecondary education.
Qualifications
• Pennsylvania Cooperative Education Certification (2361) or the ability to obtain certification through a PDE-approved certification program.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
