Job Description: Are you passionate about woodworking, craftsmanship, and guiding the next generation of skilled professionals? We are seeking a Cabinetry & Wood Technology Instructor to lead and educate students in the art and science of woodworking, cabinetry, and CNC technology.
Start date: Beginning of the 2025-2026 School Year (on or around August 13, 2025).

What you will do: Provide high-quality education to secondary students in our Cabinetry & Wood Technology program. The ideal candidate will teach students essential woodworking techniques, including blueprint reading, material efficiency, and CNC programming. Provide hands-on training in hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. Guide students through live work projects, including our renowned student-built house project. Prepare students for NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) certification and Pennsylvania Builder’s Association (PBA) certification. Mentor students toward careers in cabinetry, apprenticeships, or further education in technical programs.
Qualifications: Formal training at a construction trade school or apprenticeship in the area of carpentry, wood technology, construction technology, industrial arts or related field preferred. Must have a minimum of four years of documented paid work experience in cabinetry, woodworking, or related field. Knowledge of CNC design, programming, and operations. Passion for teaching and mentoring students. Industry certifications such as NCCER or PBA or teaching credentials are a plus! Willingness to complete coursework to earn a vocational teaching certification or currently hold a PA Vocational Teaching certificate in Cabinetmaking and Millwork (PDE CIP: 48.0703 Occupational Competency Code 2047). Prior teaching experience is not required.
Work schedule: Full-time, 10-month position (190 days/year). Regular hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 3:15 pm (7 ¾ hours), including a 30-minute duty-free lunch. The role requires participation in six evening functions per school year, totaling three contractual workdays. Faculty meetings will extend the workday by up to 15 minutes twice a month.
