Job Title: Building Trades Instructor

Job Description: Position Summary
Reporting to the Principal, the Building Trades Instructor provides skills needed for various entry-level
positions in the building trades, property maintenance, and the construction field. Students gain relevant
classroom and hands-on experience in carpentry, construction management, facility maintenance,
electricity, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing. Students earn certifications
in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30 Construction, and National Safety
Council First Aid & CPR/AED and complete a certificate of completion in National Center for
Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Core Curriculum.

As a ten-month employee (late August to mid-June), the Building Trades Instructor arrives by 8:00 A.M.
each morning and remains on campus until 3:30 P.M. each afternoon. Members of the faculty also
participate in parent/teacher conferences and one evening fall open house event
