Automotive Technology Instructor
The Erie County Technical School will accept applications for an Automotive Technology Instructor, in anticipation of the 2022-2023 School year.
The instructor is responsible for developing and implementing an instructional program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain all types of automobiles. Includes instruction in brake systems, electrical systems, engine performance, engine repair, suspension and steering, automatic and manual transmissions and drive trains, and heating and air condition systems.
Position Requirements:
Candidates should possess or be willing to acquire ASE Certifications of:
G-1 Maintenance and Light Repair
A-6 Electrical/Electron Systems
A-4 Steering and Suspension Systems
A-5 Brakes

Candidates who meet one of the following two criteria are encouraged to apply:

1) Possess a PDE Career and Technical Instructional certification in Automotive
Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or Auto-Diesel Mechanic –
CIP code 47.0604 – Automobile/Automotive Technology/Technician.
OR
2) Have a minimum of four years' documented, paid, recent work experience in
Automotive mechanics area.

Individuals without appropriate teaching certification through the PDE must be
willing to complete coursework requirements through Indiana University of
Pennsylvania to obtain Career and Technical Instructional Certification.

Must have or be willing to obtain Act 34, 114, and 151 Clearances.
