POSITION: AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR

The successful candidate will possess PDE Vocational Certification in Automotive Mechanics, Automotive Technology or Auto-Diesel Mechanic or possess the industry experience in order to:

• Prepare students to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service and maintain all types of automobiles.
• Instruct students in brake systems, electrical systems, engine performance, engine repair, suspension and steering, automatic, manual and drive transmissions, and heating and air conditioning systems.
• Train students in adjustment and repair of individual components and systems, including the use of technical repair information and the procedures for state inspection
• And possess the ability to attain PDE Vocational Emergency Permit


QUALIFICATIONS:
• Four (4) years of related industry experience (4,000 hours of verifiable employment in the last 10 years) if not PDE certified
• Knowledge of current industry trends
• Highly organized, self-motivated
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Technology as an instruction tool
• Leadership skills
• Teaching experience desired
