Job Description: Automotive Technology Instructor
The Mifflin County Academy of Science and Technology is seeking an opening for an Automotive Technician professional to teach high school students. This is a permanent, full-time 186 day position with a daily schedule of 7:32 AM to 3:02 PM, benefits, tuition reimbursement, and PSERS retirement.
Preferred candidate qualifications include: ASE Master Technician Certification, PA. Safety and OBDII Emission Inspection, and MACS Air-Conditioning Certification. Preferred Automotive Technician OCA or Vocational Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain) and Associate Degree.
The potential candidate needs a minimum of four (4) years recent experience in the Automotive field. Successful applicant must be willing to obtain the appropriate certification by completing the requirements of the PDE teacher preparation program while they are teaching.
