Job Description: Eastern Center for Arts and Technology is seeking a permanent, full-time Automotive Technology Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the competency-based curriculum as validated by the Occupational Advisory Committee. Curriculum covers concepts in the area(s) of electronic systems, breaks, suspension and steering, engine performance and repair, automatic and manual transmission and transaxle, and heating and air conditioning. Must possess/ be eligible for PA Automotive Technician Certification – 2575 (CIP Code 47.0604). The instructor will conduct all classroom activities as well as other professional duties as required.
Experience:
Four (4) years of documented wage-earning experience in related industry.
Qualifications:
• Must possess/or obtain prior to start ASE Master Automobile Technician certification
• Must be willing to fulfill teaching certification requirements
• Knowledge of current trends in the industry
• Instructional/motivational techniques
• Technology as an instructional tool
• Background clearances as per PA School Code
