Job Description: The Automated Manufacturing Technology Instructor prepares students to apply the following: Demonstrate Knowledge of Technical Reports, Safety in the Laboratory, Interpret Electrical Symbols on Blueprints and Schematics, Basic Electricity, Measure Components of Electrical Systems, Use the National Electric Code (NEC) Reference Book, Electrical Resistance, Director Current (D.C.) Motors, Inductance and Capacitance, Demonstrate Knowledge of Alternating Current (A.C.) Motors, Demonstrate Knowledge of Series-Parallel Circuits, Demonstrate Knowledge of Electric Motor Controls, Transformers, Soldering Techniques, Troubleshoot and Repair Electrical Devices in the Laboratory, Basic Electronics, Basic Logic Functions, Demonstrate Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs), Demonstrate Knowledge of Mechanical Power Transmission Systems in Industry, Troubleshoot/Repair Mechanical Power Transmission Systems, Fluid Power Systems, Troubleshoot/Repair Fluid Power Systems and their Components, Robotics, and Work Cells in a Manufacturing System.

The successful candidate must possess communication skills which will be required to convey the description, purpose, requirements, course prerequisites, and curriculum and student responsibilities of the Automated Manufacturing Technology Program to students, parents, educators, and general public.

STARTING DATE:
2023-2024 School Year

SALARY & BENEFITS:
Salary will be commensurate with education and work experience and will be determined in accordance with the current teacher salary schedule. Benefits include family health insurance, term life insurance, long term disability insurance and retirement

LEVEL:
Grades 10, 11 and 12

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a high school diploma and have a minimum of 4 years or 8000 hours of paid work experience. The documented vocational related work experience must be related to the area of automated manufacturing (electromechanical technology/electromechanical engineering).

Candidates must be willing to enroll & remain enrolled with an approved teacher certification program to become certified with the Department of Education as a vocational instructor (Occupational Competency Assessment (OCA) in Automated Manufacturing 2109 (CIP # 15.0403)

Current Act 24, 34, 114, and 151 clearances (dated within one (1) year) and Act 168 Disclosure Releases. (all required forms are available on the website www.ctclc.edu located under About CTCLC on the Employment Tab)

Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
