Job Description: Admiral Peary Area Vocational-Technical School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Auto Body Instructor to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to train the next generation of skilled auto body technicians in a hands-on learning environment.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in auto body repair, refinishing, collision repair, and painting techniques.
• Teach students industry-standard safety practices and proper tool/equipment use.
• Prepare students for ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) and I-CAR certifications.
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and shop activities aligned with state and industry standards.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive learning environment.
• Collaborate with industry partners to ensure students receive up-to-date training and real-world experience.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4 years of full-time auto body repair experience.
• ASE and/or I-CAR certifications preferred.
• Prior teaching experience is a plus, but not required—we will support qualified candidates in obtaining necessary teaching certifications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Passion for mentoring students and preparing them for successful careers.
