Job Description: Bucks County Technical High School (BCTHS) is seeking an experienced, dynamic leader to serve as Assistant Principal/Supervisor of CTE. The role supports the school’s mission of preparing all students for careers, post-secondary education, and life-long learning, through high quality, integrated, standards-driven instruction, current technologies, work-based learning, and strong community partnerships.
BCTHS is a state-of-the-art technical high school with outstanding academics serving approximately 1,500 students in grades 9-12. Established as one of the first career and technical schools in Pennsylvania in 1958, BCTHS is located in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania and serves the Bensalem, Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Morrisville Borough, Neshaminy, and Pennsbury School Districts of Bucks County (www.bcths.com).
Students are exposed to a blend of academic instruction combined with technical theory and applications in state-of-the-art laboratories, and off-campus work-based experiences. Core curriculum is provided in ways that creates personal meaning and direct career relevance for the students. BCTHS offers 29 unique state-approved career programs with many offering students an opportunity to obtain industry aligned certification and college credits by the time they reach graduation.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Support the administration of the school’s mission, student management, and daily operations in collaboration with the Director, Assistant Director and Joint Board Committee
• Provide instructional leadership for a comprehensive career and technical high school
• Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs
• Foster a positive, inclusive and professional school culture
• Support, mentor, evaluate and develop technical staff
Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership experience in Career and Technical Education
Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Supervisor of Career and Technical Education Certificate and/or Pennsylvania Principal Certification K-12 required
Teaching experience in Career and Technical Education preferred
Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
Terms: Full-time, twelve-month administrative contract; Member of Act 93 Unit
