Job Description: Assistant Principal, full-time permanent (anticipated opening): The Assistant Principal supports the Assistant Director/Principal in the daily operations of the school according to established policies. The position requires excellent communication skills, a high degree of sensitivity to the needs of students, teachers, parents, and partner school districts. The Assistant Principal must have the ability to conduct effective parent conferences and must maintain an understanding of federal and state school law and policies regarding student discipline and special education. Qualifications include excellent organizational and communications skills, a TEAM orientation, the ability to lead groups, and a commitment to contribute to school leadership initiatives. Requirements include Pennsylvania K-12 Principal certification and a minimum of five (5) years full-time teaching or educational specialist experience. Leadership experience and a demonstrated understanding of the Career and Technical Education setting preferred. Criminal background clearances are required for all positions.
