Job Description: Middle Bucks Institute of Technology (MBIT) is seeking a qualified, student-centered professional to serve as a Medical & Health Professions Instructor. This position offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic program that prepares students for careers in the medical and allied health fields. The ideal candidate will bring substantial industry experience, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to delivering hands-on, real-world instruction aligned with local workforce needs and career readiness goals.

About the Program:
Students engage in comprehensive coursework covering foundational healthcare topics, including professionalism, infection control, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, communication, personal and environmental safety, emergency and disaster preparedness, ethical and legal responsibilities, nutrition, and human growth and development. The program also provides practical training in essential clinical skills such as moving, lifting, and positioning of patients, vital signs, standard precautions, and direct patient care.

Students have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications, including Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, ECG/EKG Technician Certification, Patient Care Technician (PCT) Certification, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens Certification.

• Term of Employment: Full-time (10 Months), permanent
• Compensation: Per MBEA Teachers’ Contract

Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality, competency-based instruction to prepare students with pre-professional experiences in medical and allied health, and related fields.
• Develop and deliver lessons incorporating safety, employability skills, academic integration, and industry standards.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom/lab environment, including implementation of essential laboratory safety rules.
• Engage students in hands-on learning experiences that reflect real-world scenarios in the medical and healthcare fields.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with industry partners to enhance student learning and potential cooperative education opportunities.
• Maintain accurate student records, assessment data, and grading in accordance with school policy.
• Provide supervision and guidance to students, fostering professionalism and leadership through Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) activities.

Required Qualifications:
• Pennsylvania teacher certification in the assigned teaching area OR eligibility to pursue certification.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current PA Nursing license; related college degree preferred
• Minimum of four (4) years, preferably seven (7) years, of occupational experience in the nursing field
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with current instructional technology.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Teaching experience in a career and technical education setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience integrating industry-recognized certifications into instruction.
