Job Description: The Chester County Intermediate unit has an opening for an Allied Health Instructor for the 2025-26 school year starting in August 2025. This vacancy exists within the Division of Career, Technical & Customized Education at the Technical College High School (TCHS) Pickering campus in Phoenixville, PA.
The Chester County Technical College High School (TCHS) is a public high school specializing in career and technical education for students in grades 9-12. Our programs prepare students for success in college, the workplace and life. All of our career and technical programs are aligned to both Pennsylvania State Standards and national industry certifications.
Upon successful completion of a career and technical education course of study, students receive a profile of the standards they have studied and mastered. In addition, a competency certificate is issued to each graduate that lists the number of skills mastered and the level of proficiency in each skill.
The Technical College High School is operated by the Chester County Intermediate Unit on behalf of Chester County's 12 public school districts.
The CCIU is a dynamic educational service agency providing quality, innovative and cost-effective programs and services to enhance the lives of students, educators and members of our communities.
The CCIU provides services to the 12 school districts in Chester County. This includes services to nearly 86,000 public and non-public school students and over 6,000 educators. The Chester County Intermediate Unit is one of 29 regional educational agencies established by law in Pennsylvania in 1971. Working between the Pennsylvania State Department of Education and the local school districts, the Intermediate Unit's mission is to provide services that can be offered most economically at the regional level.

Anticipated start date: 08/12/2025
Schedule: 7.5 hours per day for 194 days year one, 191 days year two, 190 days subsequent years
Work Hours: 7:30-3
Exempt Status: Exempt
Salaried or Hourly: Salaried
Qualifications:
RN or registered graduate of a baccalaureate program in medical technology or licensed/certified health care professional with Bachelor's degree in their field of practice required. Master's preferred.
Appropriate PDE Vocational certification or the ability to enroll in a PDE approved certification program, and appropriate Rehabilitation Aide related certifications or have successfully completed the appropriate Occupational Competency Assessment.
PDE Career and Technical Instructional I Rehabilitation Aide 7-12 or Career and Technical Instructional I Rehabilitation Aide 7-12 strongly preferred
Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of healthcare is required.
Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide quality occupational instruction to Allied Health students to prepare them for a successful career path in health care.
Duties include:
Program development
Maintain and practice an effective safety program with the curriculum
Consistent and effective program recruitment
Effective supervision of all students in program at TCHS-Pickering/in the field
Maintain and modify curriculum to remain current
Develop and maintain a productive Occupational Advisory Committee
Maintain appropriate professional certificate(s) and licenses as required
Maintenance of appropriate industrial certifications on a regular basis
Develop and maintain a positive production account
Other assignments requested by the principal or designee
Salary for 2025-26 School Year:
Emergency Certification: $56,749 – $86,206
PDE Level 1: $58,751 – $88,563
PDE Level 2: $61,300 – $92,110
Master's Degree: $65,394 – $100,586
Master's + 15: $68,403 – $104,546
Master's + 30: $69,938 – $106,442
*placement on salary schedule is determined based on direct previous realated healthcare experience
