Job Description: The Franklin County Career & Technology Center (FCCTC) is seeking a full-time Allied Health Instructor for secondary education. FCCTC has students from 10th-12th grade.
The Allied Health program prepares individuals to apply knowledge and skills in the health occupations. Instruction is provided in the basic skills in a variety of areas associated with health occupations such as health and medical services, pharmaceutical and medical instruments and supplies. Instruction includes but is not limited to foundations of health (medical terminology); anatomy and physiology; legal, ethical and economic aspects of health care; clinical laboratory procedures; basic health occupational skills; aseptic techniques; OSHA regulations; and infection control. Clinical education is an integral part of the program.
Qualifications: RN, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess a teaching certification or who have passed the Occupational Competency Exam. Selected candidate must be able to take classes toward their Vocational Instructor certification and pass the Occupational Competency Exam.
Candidate must have one of the following:
Four years wage-earning experience in the occupation to be taught; or
Two years wage-earning experience in the occupation to be taught and hold a bachelor’s degree; or
Four years full-time experience teaching post-secondary courses at a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the occupation to be taught;
Position will remain open until filled.
